Mary's Irish Raisin Cake
("No
eggs, no milk)

degrees , 50 minutes
- 2 cups
seedless raisins
- 3
" water (the infamous cups not inches)
Boil above for 5
minutes and let cool
- 4 cups
flour
- 3 1/2 tsp
baking soda
- 1/2 cup
shortening
- 2 cups
white sugar...cream with shortening
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp
cinnamon
- 1 tsp
cloves
Stir all together and bake in:
- greased and
floured: 9 x 13 pan. 50 minutes or
- Pam'd and
floured Bundt pan, 60 minutes
